About OJIA
We are a small Atlanta, GA team of rug nerds, pet owners and parents making floor coverings that actually survive the households they live in.
Born From One Ruined Rug
OJIA started with a beautiful rug and a very bad day. Our founder's new entryway rug lasted exactly one rainy week before muddy paw prints and a dry-clean-only tag sent it to the trash. There had to be a better way — a rug that looked great and could simply go in the washing machine.
So we spent two years working with weavers on tight, non-shedding constructions and rubber backings that grip real floors. The result was a line of washable area rugs, indoor/outdoor door mats and non-slip stair treads that hold up to pets, kids, mud and moving furniture.
Today OJIA is in hundreds of thousands of American homes. Every new design still has to pass the same test: does it look like something you'd want by your front door — and can it survive a Tuesday with the family? If not, it doesn't ship.
